Sports massage and soft tissue therapy is a constantly evolving and forward thinking treatment for acute, sub acute and chronic minor muscular-skeletal conditions. Deep tissue massage often play a key role in this therapeutic treatment, however other skills and modalities are often used in conjunction with this to gain the best outcome. Muscle firing pattern testing, muscle strength and length testing, soft tissue release, trigger point release, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation (IASTM), mobilisation cupping, Kinesiology taping and dry needling may all play a role in getting you back to the best version of yourself possible. Quite often some functional exercises to mobilise or strengthen joints and muscles will be prescribed for you to continue the good work. This is a 2 way process and you will gain better value for money by trusting the process and doing any recommended "homework".

Katie Guest trained in Cambridge under the Institute of Soft Tissue Therapists (ISRM) and has worked in multi disciplinary clinics, corporate environments and elite sports environments supporting individuals with concerns of injury, injury prevention and rehabilitation, postural problems, sports "maintenance" treatments and those with general aches and pains of life. Fully person-centric, Katie tailors every treatment to the individual's requirements, coupling her extensive knowledge of physiology and the human body to ensure the best outcome is achieved. Katie works closely with many other top of their game practitioners where onward referrals can be made if necessary, such as local physiotherapists, osteopaths, sports nutritionists, Pilates instructors, PT's and S&C coaches.
